SQL Server User Group Meeting
"New data types and programming enhancements in SQL Server"
The XML functionality that was introduced in SQL Server 2000 and 2005 has been greatly enhanced in SQL Server 2008. Additionally, developer productivity has been improved with SQL Server 2008’s seamless integration between frameworks and data connectivity technologies. This month’s meeting will take a deep look into new data types and programming enhancements with SQL Server 2008.
The presenter, Kathrine Lord, is a Principal Technical Specialist at Microsoft specializing in SQL Server with over 15 years in the industry. She has worked for Microsoft over seven years in several roles revolving around the data platform.
