AMTECH is currently looking for an ASP.Net Developer for a permanenet position located in Scottsdale, AZ. Our client is an eight year-old manufacturer and online retailer of health products. They are a fast growing company with a focus on international sales. They currently outsource all of their software development to a 3rd party, but are ready to hire someone to be their in-house technical contact. They are looking for a smart, energetic, motivated person to be their in-house programmer. The candidate will be asked to perform the following tasks:
** Program web applications in a 3-tier model based on their vendor’s software designs. The candidate will build web pages, middle-tier business logic, and data access code small and medium-size projects.
** Provide maintenance on existing applications, making bug fixes, answering questions and responding to time-sensitive requests from the company. Some examples might be renewing SSL certificates, running ad-hoc reports, and fixing bugs.
** Meet with staff members to coordinate projects, identify and document functional requirements, then interface with our 3rd party vendor to complete the project.
** On occasion, the candidate will be asked to program very critical aspects of our software designs that would be hard to send to their offshore team
This job will require the candidate to work not only with their employees but also with their 3rd party software vendor, who will work on large software project and provide you with the knowledge necessary to understand the existing applications.

** You must have impeccable attention to detail. You should be able to catch very minor visual or programming bugs and be able to fix them without supervision.
** You should have good time management skills. You may work on multiple projects, some of which are small, so you will need to be able to multi-task a great deal.
** You must have 2-3 years of ASP.NET programming using VB.NET and / or C#.NET. You must be comfortable working in the VStudio.NET environment.
** You must have a working understanding of web-based programming and the 3-tier programming model. You should also have working knowledge of the software development life cycle.
** Must have at least 2 years experience designing and working with the MSSQL database. You should be very well versed in the SQL language and should know how to create stored procedures.
** You should have a working understanding of how applications are deployed on a Microsoft server – how to navigate IIS and how to manage the .NET Framework.
Hours are 8-5 and M-F.
