I would like to ask for recommendations on what training to get for someone who knows nothing about SQL Reporting Services.
All our training is done with Interface Technical Training, and looking at their courses, they appear to offer only one 2-day course:
2030: Creating Reporting Solutions using Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services - Students will be able to: understand the architecture of Microsoft Reporting Services and Office integration; author reports using the Report Designer; deploy and publish reports; manage the lifecycle of a report including report scheduling and backup and restore; understand how to apply Reporting Services to a business problem.
What about the installation of the Reporting Services? How does it interact with SQL Server? What administration is needed on the SQL Server end? Best practices for installation and management within n-Tier architectures?
I need something that not only covers how to use the Services, create reports, but also the initial installation and continued administration of the server/services. Are there books, websites, etc. that can offer a very clear, full, and easy-to-understand, take you from nothing to up and running, explanation of SQL2K Reporting Services?
