    SQL DBA/Phoenix, AZ

    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for the support and maintenance of all SQL Servers within the enterprise including operational systems and the corporate data warehouse.
    • Must demonstrate intermediate to senior level knowledge of SQL Server 2000 Database Administration, including but not limited to performance tuning and monitoring, disk configuration, indexing strategies, backup and restore strategy, replication and other database maintenance tasks such as SQL Agent jobs, Replication etc.
    • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data and user related system errors.
    • Optimize stored procedures written by others
    • Troubleshoot database performance issues
    • Work with development teams to implement solutions
    • Implement data purge and archiving strategies.
    • Design and maintain database and code change control processes.
    • Maintain separate Development/Test/Production environments
    • Support a 24x7 production environment

    Minimum Qualifications
    • 3+ years experience as a SQL Server 2000 Database Administrator
    • Good understanding of relation database concepts
    • Proficiency in T-SQL programming, including writing stored procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of various software products including Microsoft Office, Visio, Visual SourceSafe and Project.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

    Additional Preferred Qualifications
    • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator on Windows 2000 or higher and SQL Server 2000.
    • Experience with Analysis Services Cube Administration
    • Informatica PowerCenter experience
