Job Type: Contract – 3 to 6 months
Job Functions: We are looking for an experienced, senior level professional to guide our team through the design and creation of a data warehouse environment. You will assess the existing environment and business needs, make recommendations on tools (development and reporting) and propose the data warehouse architecture. In addition, the candidate will perform physical database design, creation, and implementation; develop the security strategy and design, document, and manage implementation of the security strategy; participate in system integration, ETL development, and parallel testing. This position is also responsible for creating development, QA and production environments; developing performance monitoring plans, as well as performing performance tuning and optimization; and developing production support procedures.
Job Skills: 5+ years experience utilizing various data warehouse methodologies (e.g. Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, etc.) and understanding the pros and cons of each. Experience designing a dimensional model data warehouse. Experience with multiple reporting tools. Strong SQL Server database design including security design, TSQL, experience with ETL tools, and process development. Excellent communication, documentation, interpersonal, and project management skills are required. Medical Industry experience a plus.
