ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform analysis, design requirements, architect technical solutions, develop project plans, perform unit and integration testing, document systems, and train users.
• Work closely with business users to define requirements and architect technical solutions.
• Provide production support for numerous systems, including on-call support as required..
• Refactor systems and migrate legacy ASP applications to .Net.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Manage help desk tickets for support and enhancement requests.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and correct data and user related system errors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• 3+ years experience in role comparable to position responsibilities.
• Must demonstrate advanced knowledge in the following areas:
o Microsoft .NET Framework concepts, techniques & architecture with an emphasis on n-tier ASP.NET development.
o Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts, theory and practice.
o Proficient with C# and VS.NET 2005.
o SQL Server 2000 programming including development of stored procedures, tables, DTS packages, and jobs.
• Working knowledge of various software products including Microsoft Office, Visio, Visual SourceSafe and Project.
• Background and experience in implementing medium to large-scale enterprise solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with XML, SOAP, SOA methodologies, BizTalk 2004, web services and the UML preferred.
• Microsoft Reporting Services experience.
• Data warehousing, Analysis Services, MDX, SQL Server Reporting Services, Informatica PowerCenter experience beneficial.
• Experience working with agile methodologies such as SCRUM or XP preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
