SQL Programmer
Duties
The SQL Programmer reports to the Senior SQL Programmer. The SQL programmer reviews, analyzes, designs, programs, modifies, develops and implements database related enhancements and fixes. Tasks are handed to the SQL Developer by the Senior SQL Programmer, Product Manager or ColdFusion Expert. The SQL Programmer may also actively participate in resolving support issues as deemed by the Development Manager. The SQL Programmer writes code and completes programming, and testing of database related objects. Converts project specifications and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language. Has analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Career Paths
This position may seek lateral paths to become a ColdFusion Programmer. This position should aspire to become the Senior SQL Programmer / DBA and possibly a Project Manager.
Training Objectives
Any and all applicable training courses or seminars that will lead to better understanding of existing technologies. At a minimum one applicable certification renewal or achievement per year is required. The Development Manager has final say on acceptable certification objectives.
