Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Scottsdale Center for the Arts (map)
7384 E 2nd St
Scottsdale, Arizona 85251

This is the fifth annual Arizona .NET User Group (100% free) event hosting Mr. Scott Guthrie. Scott is the manager of all things developer related at Microsoft having over 600 developers that report to him. Scott is most famous for inventing/creating ASP.NET. If you have ever heard of Visual Studio, Silverlight, ASP.NET, IIS, Expression Tools - you have Scott Guthrie to thank :)

Scott is a great great speaker - traveling the world talking about his passion to developers. If you have anything to do with developing software - this is a free event not to be missed.

RSVP on ClickToAttend where you can register with your Microsoft Live ID.
https://www.clicktoattend.com/invitation.aspx?code=125378

Registration starts and the doors open at 7am for sponsors and 8am for attendees. It's an early start - but my oh my - it will be worth it.

Did I mention all this is free?!?!?!?

Remember this is a community event! That is to say that Microsoft isn't funding the bill for this - but instead - I've asked favors for people/friends/sponsors to get the cash for lunch, as a result, each event topic is accompanied by a 10 minute sponsor session.

The speakers, topics, and sponsors are nailed down. Here are the sessions/talks that will be covered.
